Mandarin
Job Position: Mandarin Teacher
Job Duties:
The Mandarin Teacher is responsible for engaging, high-quality instruction in Mandarin language and culture to high school students across multiple levels, from Mandarin I (beginner) to Mandarin 4 (advanced), The teacher will create a supportive and dynamic learning environment fosters language acquisition, intercultural understanding, and communication skills, Additionally, the teacher will contribute to curriculum development, student support, school activities; and communication with families and the broader community.
Teaching
Develop and deliver Mandarin instruction for Levels I through 4, aligned with school standards and world language frameworks; create lesson plans, assess student learning, provide feedback, and support Students linguistic and cultural proficiency.
Non-Teaching
Engage in curriculum development and refinement across all Mandarin Responsibilities levels; collaborate with colleagues; participate in school activities and events; maintain communication with parents and guardians pursue professional development; fulfil general faculty responsibilities.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mandarin Chinese, Chinese Language, Literature, Education or related field. 9 months’ experience in job offered or teaching at secondary level. Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential World Languages; Mandarin. Fluency in Mandarin.
