Dear Community Members,

Thank you for taking time to visit our website and to consider a donation to Credo High School. As part of our broader community--graduates, grandparents, neighbors, business leaders and friends--you will be an integral part of our students' success.

At Credo, we imagine how our school can become the center of its community. We imagine an exchange of knowledge, experience and labor that supports not only the high school, but the entire community. Credo will provide opportunities for community members to mentor our students. Through employment at local businesses, students will learn valuable workplace skills and support our growing economy. Through local community and service learning programs our students will help those most in need, learn to care for the environment, mentor younger children and develop a sense of stewardship and responsibility.

In time, some of these same students will return to our community to bring new ideas, new energy and a sense of purpose; to solve problems, to support those in need, to put down roots and to raise their own families. The cycle will continue, and like you, Credo graduates will be called upon to support local initiatives with their labor, their expertise and their money.

At Credo, we know the cost of delivering our program is $9,500 per child. We know that to have a comparable education at a private school in the Bay Area a family would need to pay $17,000 to $33,000 per year.

As educators, community leaders and parents, we are grateful that the State of California provides some support, about 65% of the total. This support provides only the foundation for our public charter school to develop and deliver an exceptional college preparatory high school program that is accessible to all. Unfortunately, state funding alone is inadequate to provide an academically exceptional Waldorf curriculum. As part of our greater community, we ask for your help. Your investment in Credo High School and its students will help to make this world a better place. Your gift will provide new opportunities for students. One hundred percent of Credo's graduates will be prepared to attend the University of California, as opposed to only 31% of public high school graduates in Sonoma County.

Please become part of the Credo solution. Volunteer, mentor and donate. We believe that as we all gather together for Credo’s success, we shall all benefit.

Your donation of any amount is tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Steve Bossio, CFO
